Roscoe “Judd” Talbert, 95 years of age, long time Albuquerque resident, died peacefully on June 8, 2017 surrounded by numerous family and friends. Although our hearts are very heavy with sadness, we take solace in the fact that he was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus His Lord and Savior and that we will be joined with him again for eternity. We will miss Judd immensely as he brought us much laughter and joy with his great sense of humor and easy going manner.

He was born on July 27, 1921 to Harriet and Roscoe Talbert in Indianapolis, Indiana, and had six siblings. He was a WWII veteran, and he served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Merchant Marines. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Right, The Shrine Temple and American Legion. He was a 50 year member of UA Local Union No. 412. Judd’s life long career was as a superintendent and mechanical contractor in the pipefitting industry, and held positions worldwide. He retired from Holmes and Narver at Sandia Laboratories in the late 1990s.

Judd was preceded in death by his beloved first wife Barbara.

He is survived by his current wife of 27 years — Dolores (Dee) Talbert; daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Dick Makow, Lola and Adam Polley, Ken and Joanne Brown, Mark and Jodi Lynam, beloved brother Jimmy and wife Jean, immediate grandchildren (Allison, Tommy, Matthew, Michael, Austin and Haley), great-grand children (Brayden and Gabriella Morris), and many others.

Although “thank you” is an inadequate expression of what we truly feel in our hearts, we wish to extend our sincerest gratitude and thanks to: Ambercare Hospice for all of their amazing “angels on earth” — Nurses, Kirk, Catrina, Krystal, Barbara, Rusty, Social Workers, Francisco, Kara, Chaplains Joel and Joyce, Home Health Aides: Alex, Christian, DME staff and all others that made this difficult journey bearable and comforting. Please forgive us for those of you that we may have inadvertently missed you will never be forgotten and will be forever in our hearts. The family also wishes to extend our sincerest gratitude to: Jim and Carol Danek, Beverly Bayonet, Lynda Links, Terri and Jay, David, Greg and Jamy, and all those that offered up prayers, condolences, love and comforting calls, visits and heartfelt words. You all will also be forever in our gratitude and hearts.

Family will hold a celebration of Judd’s life in the near future.
